Writing Cleanup

I've spent a good deal of time over the last couple weeks cleaning up my MG fiction manuscript one last time before submitting. I'm roughly 50% done. Now having said this, most of you out there realize that my first sentence is an example of adult fiction -- once the other 50% is complete I'll wind up having it critiqued which means it should say "next to the last time". At that point I need to be ready to let go and move on to the next project.

Also, yesterday was spent cleaning out old writing papers and materials (from the coat closet). It actually feels good to get organized. Next step -- shredding old MS copies -- and the other 50%.

In other words, still making a little good out of my forced time off my foot. Had first bit of physical therapy today. It seemed to go okay.

Good for you! Keep on keepin' on and that 50% done will soon be 100%.

Perhaps the injury is a blessing in disguise... ; )

You're making good progress, Jim!

How did you decide which old mss to get rid of? I'd love to thin out my files, but I'm not sure how to go about it...

Some were easy...the ones I never disposed of from others for which I did critiques.

As for my own: Many were critiqued copies of versions long since discarded. I do have electronic copies of old version though.

By the way, the winter coats are happy about the extra space.

Thanks for stopping by Suzanne and hb

Tricia: We'll find out how the progress is once I'm at 100% and get some respected feedback. Cammy's been through some changes since you "met" her.

I should add thanks to those such as Tricia (PJ), the rest of FFW and my crit partners from the Darcy Pattison retreat who have given me respected feedback in the past. It is that feedback which has gotten me to the point I'm at!
